| CVE-2026-72014 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-20 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drbd: reject data replies with an out-of-range payload size recv_dless_read() receives a P_DATA_REPLY from a peer into the bio of an outstanding read request. The peer-supplied payload length reaches it as the signed int data_size, and two peer-controlled inputs can make it negative. With a negotiated data-integrity-alg the digest length is subtracted first, so a reply whose payload is smaller than the digest underflows data_size. With no integrity algorithm (the default) data_size is assigned from the unsigned h95/h100 wire length and drbdd() never bounds it for a payload-carrying command, so a length above INT_MAX casts it negative; this path needs no non-default feature. The bio receive loop then computes expect = min_t(int, data_size, bv_len), which is negative, and drbd_recv_all_warn(mapped, expect) receives with a size_t of SIZE_MAX into the first mapped page. The sibling receive path read_in_block() is not affected: it uses an unsigned size and rejects it against DRBD_MAX_BIO_SIZE before receiving. Reject a data reply whose size is negative after the optional digest subtraction, covering both triggers. Impact: a malicious or man-in-the-middle DRBD peer copies attacker-chosen bytes past a bio page in the receiver, corrupting kernel memory. A node that reads from its peer (a diskless node, or read-balancing to the peer) is exposed in the default configuration; data-integrity-alg is not required. | ||||
| CVE-2026-98475 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-20 | 5.1 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/cmf: Fix virtual vs physical address confusion The measurement block address is an absolute address. Define the associated schib_config and schib fields as dma64_t to enable automatic detection of incorrect assignments. Also add the missing virt_to_dma64() translation. Without this fix, a wrong address will be used by firmware when storing extended format channel measurement data on kernels built with CONFIG_RANDOMIZE_IDENTITY_BASE=y. | ||||
| CVE-2026-98567 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: xps: reject an out of range traffic class Only the entries below dev->num_tc are valid in dev->tc_to_txq[], and dev->prio_tc_map[] may only name classes below it. netdev_set_num_tc() lowers dev->num_tc without touching either array. netdev_txq_to_tc() walks all TC_MAX_QUEUE slots and netdev_get_prio_tc_map() returns the entry as it stands, so a leftover entry is handed out as a traffic class >= dev->num_tc. Taking that class from netdev_txq_to_tc(), __netif_set_xps_queue() rejects only a negative one and indexes an XPS map sized for dev->num_tc classes: tci = j * num_tc + tc; RCU_INIT_POINTER(new_dev_maps->attr_map[tci], map); attr_map[] holds nr_ids * num_tc entries and j runs over the ids named in the mask, so a class that is not below num_tc pushes tci past the end of the map for the last ids and the store overruns it. Any caller that lowers num_tc leaves such entries behind, and mqprio_destroy() tears down with netdev_set_num_tc(dev, 0) rather than netdev_reset_tc(). After mqprio with 8 classes then 1, tc_to_txq[1..7] still describe txq 1..7. The splat is from an XPS write to txq 2 on a veth with 8 rx queues: attr_map[] has 8 * 1 entries, tci = j + 2, and j == 6 stores one past the end of the 88-byte map: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in __netif_set_xps_queue (net/core/dev.c:2954) Write of size 8 at addr ffff88813016bc58 by task xps_oob/634 __netif_set_xps_queue (net/core/dev.c:2954) xps_rxqs_store (net/core/net-sysfs.c:1880) netdev_queue_attr_store (net/core/net-sysfs.c:1390) Allocated by task 634: __kmalloc_noprof (mm/slub.c:5439) __netif_set_xps_queue (net/core/dev.c:2937) The buggy address is located 0 bytes to the right of allocated 88-byte region [ffff88813016bc00, ffff88813016bc58) Reject a class the map has no room for. | ||||
| CVE-2026-98621 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: gue: reject invalid REMCSUM offsets The REMCSUM option carries an absolute checksum start and checksum field offset. gue_remcsum() passes them to skb_remcsum_process(), whose partial path stores offset - start in the u16 skb->csum_offset variable. If offset is less than start, this underflows. A forwarded packet can retain CHECKSUM_PARTIAL and reach a NETIF_F_HW_CSUM driver which trusts the metadata, leading skb_copy_and_csum_dev() to write two bytes about 64 KiB beyond the destination buffer. Reject reversed tuples in validate_gue_flags(), after the existing length validation, so all GUE parsers enforce the ordering in one place. | ||||
| CVE-2026-110698 | 1 Praat | 1 Praat | 2026-10-20 | 6.3 Medium |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in Praat up to 7.0.02. Affected is the function whisper_model_load of the file external/whispercpp/whisper.cpp of the component Model Loader. The manipulation of the argument n_dims leads to out-of-bounds write. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The identifier of the patch is a910d21a2705ef4cd16d91f29cdc8da1ab1a7221. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. The project maintainer confirms: "We did a quick fix (suggested fix 1) for Praat version 7.0.03, and scheduled a better fix (suggested fix 2)." | ||||
| CVE-2026-53267 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-20 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_ct: bail out on template ct in get eval I noticed this issue while looking at a historic syzbot report [1]. A rule like the one below is enough to trigger the bug: table ip t { chain pre { type filter hook prerouting priority raw; ct zone set 1 ct original saddr 1.2.3.4 accept } } The first expression attaches a per-cpu template ct via nft_ct_set_zone_eval() (nf_ct_tmpl_alloc -> kzalloc, tuple is all zero, nf_ct_l3num(ct) == 0). The next expression then calls nft_ct_get_eval() on the same skb, treats the template as a real ct and hits the 16-byte memcpy path. With dreg at NFT_REG32_15 this overflows past struct nft_regs on the kernel stack; with smaller dreg values it silently clobbers adjacent registers. Reject template ct at the eval entry and in nft_ct_get_fast_eval(), mirroring the check nft_ct_set_eval() already has. Additionally, bound the address copy in NFT_CT_SRC / NFT_CT_DST by priv->len instead of by nf_ct_l3num(ct): nf_ct_get_tuple() zeroes the tuple before pkt_to_tuple() fills in only the protocol-relevant leading bytes, so the trailing bytes of tuple->{src,dst}.u3.all are well-defined zero. priv->len is validated at rule load, so the copy size is now bounded by the destination register rather than by an untrusted field on the conntrack. | CVE-2026-110654 | 2026-10-20 | 6.1 Medium | ||
| libzvbi through 0.2.45 contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Teletext decoder that allows attackers to corrupt memory by supplying unvalidated DRCS pixel-mode values in X/28/3 packets. Attackers can send a crafted Teletext stream decoded via vbi_decode with every slot set to DRCS_MODE_6_5_4, causing convert_drcs to overflow chars[48][60] and crash the application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-110601 | 1 Saitoha | 1 Libsixel | 2026-10-20 | 6.3 Medium |
| libsixel before 1.8.7-r1 and 1.9.0 through 1.10.5 contains a heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in gif_init_frame() in src/fromgif.c, which never checks the GIF transparent color index against the palette size. Attackers can supply a crafted GIF with a small color table and large transparent index, processed with a background color set, to write bytes past the palette buffer, causing heap corruption or crashes. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88165 | 1 Microsoft | 28 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 25 more | 2026-10-20 | 8.8 High |
| Out-of-bounds write in Active Directory Domain Services allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-101307 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-10-20 | 9.1 Critical |
| When the PCM sample array needs to grow, the RACK stack doubles a 16-bit allocation counter. Repeated doublings caused the counter to wrap to zero, resulting in a near-zero-length allocation followed by a copy of the existing samples into the undersized buffer. A remote peer can trigger the expansion by sending a sufficient number of ACKs on an established connection. A remote attacker who can establish a TCP connection to a system using the RACK stack can trigger an out-of-bounds write of approximately 512 KB in the kernel heap possibly resulting in a kernel panic. | ||||
| CVE-2026-83966 | 1 Adobe | 1 Substance 3d Sampler | 2026-10-20 | 7.8 High |
| Substance3D - Sampler is affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. | ||||

| CVE-2026-112397 | 1 Python-pillow | 1 Pillow | 2026-10-19 | 7.5 High |
| Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, Pillow's ImageMorph.MorphOp.apply() can access memory before a row buffer for a zero-width image. PPM and PGM input can create an image with width zero, and the native morphology routine indexes outrow[width - 1] without rejecting that geometry. An attacker can supply such an image to an application that applies a morphology operation. This can crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99999 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 9.3 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: validate checksum_start before completing checksum If a packet with bad checksum metadata gets into the ipv4 stack, skb_checksum_help can corrupt the network header and cause a bunch of mischief. This was discovered and reported by Paulos, and has been reporoduced by others independently since. We really shouldn't allow such packets in, but as a defence in depth measure, let's also check before we complete the checksum. A more complete validation at input is forthcoming, but needs more work. | ||||
| CVE-2026-68376 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 8.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: fix auth_hmacs array size in struct sctp_cookie The auth_hmacs array in struct sctp_cookie is supposed to store a complete SCTP_AUTH_HMAC_ALGO parameter, which consists of a struct sctp_paramhdr followed by N HMAC identifiers. However, the array size was calculated using an extra 2 bytes instead of sizeof(struct sctp_paramhdr), which is 4 bytes. When four HMAC identifiers are configured, the HMAC-ALGO parameter stored in the endpoint is larger than the auth_hmacs buffer in the cookie. As a result, sctp_association_init() copies beyond the end of auth_hmacs when initializing the association, corrupting the adjacent auth_chunks field. This can lead to an invalid HMAC identifier being accepted and later cause an out-of-bounds read in sctp_auth_get_hmac(). Fix the array size calculation by including the full SCTP parameter header size. | ||||
| CVE-2026-68320 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.3 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: fix auth_chunk_list capacity check in sctp_auth_ep_add_chunkid sctp_auth_ep_add_chunkid() uses SCTP_NUM_CHUNK_TYPES (20) as the capacity limit for ep->auth_chunk_list, allowing it to hold up to 20 chunk entries (param_hdr.length up to 24). However, the copy destination asoc->c.auth_chunks in struct sctp_cookie is only SCTP_AUTH_MAX_CHUNKS (16) entries (20 bytes). When more than 16 chunks are added, sctp_association_init() memcpy overflows the destination by up to 4 bytes. Fix by using SCTP_AUTH_MAX_CHUNKS as the capacity limit, matching the destination capacity. | ||||
| CVE-2026-68315 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate stream count in sctp_process_strreset_inreq() When processing a RESET_IN_REQUEST from a peer, sctp_process_strreset_inreq() derives the stream count from the parameter length but does not check whether the resulting RESET_OUT_REQUEST would exceed SCTP_MAX_CHUNK_LEN. The OUT request header (sctp_strreset_outreq, 16 bytes) is 8 bytes larger than the IN request header (sctp_strreset_inreq, 8 bytes). Generally, the IP payload is bounded to 65535 bytes, so the stream list cannot be large enough to trigger the overflow. However, on interfaces with MTU > 65535 (e.g., loopback with IPv6 jumbograms), a stream list that fits within the incoming IN parameter can cause a __u16 overflow in sctp_make_strreset_req() when computing the OUT request size, leading to an undersized skb allocation and a kernel BUG: net/core/skbuff.c:207 skb_panic net/core/skbuff.c:2625 skb_put net/sctp/sm_make_chunk.c:1535 sctp_addto_chunk net/sctp/sm_make_chunk.c:3695 sctp_make_strreset_req net/sctp/stream.c:655 sctp_process_strreset_inreq The local setsockopt path validates the generated reset request size. However, for an incoming-only reset, it accounts for the smaller IN request even though the peer must generate an OUT request with the same stream list. Such a request cannot be completed successfully by the peer. Reject peer IN requests whose corresponding OUT request would exceed SCTP_MAX_CHUNK_LEN. Also tighten the local check so it does not send an IN request that would require an oversized OUT request from the peer. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42616 | 1 Tuxera | 1 Ntfs-3g | 2026-10-19 | 7.8 High |
| In NTFS-3G before 2026.7.7, a heap buffer overflow exists in cat() in ntfscat.c that allows an attacker to corrupt heap memory in the ntfscat binary by crafting a malicious NTFS image. The overflow is triggered by reading a file. | ||||
| CVE-2026-68265 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-19 | 7.3 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/vm: Fix BO prefetch with CONSULT_MEM_ADVISE_PREF_LOC When prefetch region is DRM_XE_CONSULT_MEM_ADVISE_PREF_LOC for a BO VMA, the code used it as an index into region_to_mem_type[], causing an out-of-bounds access since the value is -1. Resolve the preferred location for BO VMAs directly: local VRAM on dGFX (using the BO's tile placement) or system memory on iGPU. Discovered using AI-assisted static analysis confirmed by Intel Product Security. v2: -Fix null dereference (cherry picked from commit d9a4906ac03be9f6ed3f3b45c56c866b867fd75b) | ||||
