CVE-2026-31709 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: validate the whole DACL before rewriting it in cifsacl build_sec_desc() and id_mode_to_cifs_acl() derive a DACL pointer from a server-supplied dacloffset and then use the incoming ACL to rebuild the chmod/chown security descriptor. The original fix only checked that the struct smb_acl header fits before reading dacl_ptr->size or dacl_ptr->num_aces. That avoids the immediate header-field OOB read, but the rewrite helpers still walk ACEs based on pdacl->num_aces with no structural validation of the incoming DACL body. A malicious server can return a truncated DACL that still contains a header, claims one or more ACEs, and then drive replace_sids_and_copy_aces() or set_chmod_dacl() past the validated extent while they compare or copy attacker-controlled ACEs. Factor the DACL structural checks into validate_dacl(), extend them to validate each ACE against the DACL bounds, and use the shared validator before the chmod/chown rebuild paths. parse_dacl() reuses the same validator so the read-side parser and write-side rewrite paths agree on what constitutes a well-formed incoming DACL.

CVE-2026-31685 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.4 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ip6t_eui64: reject invalid MAC header for all packets `eui64_mt6()` derives a modified EUI-64 from the Ethernet source address and compares it with the low 64 bits of the IPv6 source address. The existing guard only rejects an invalid MAC header when `par->fragoff != 0`. For packets with `par->fragoff == 0`, `eui64_mt6()` can still reach `eth_hdr(skb)` even when the MAC header is not valid. Fix this by removing the `par->fragoff != 0` condition so that packets with an invalid MAC header are rejected before accessing `eth_hdr(skb)`.
CVE-2026-31682 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bridge: br_nd_send: linearize skb before parsing ND options br_nd_send() parses neighbour discovery options from ns->opt[] and assumes that these options are in the linear part of request. Its callers only guarantee that the ICMPv6 header and target address are available, so the option area can still be non-linear. Parsing ns->opt[] in that case can access data past the linear buffer. Linearize request before option parsing and derive ns from the linear network header.
CVE-2026-31675 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_netem: fix out-of-bounds access in packet corruption In netem_enqueue(), the packet corruption logic uses get_random_u32_below(skb_headlen(skb)) to select an index for modifying skb->data. When an AF_PACKET TX_RING sends fully non-linear packets over an IPIP tunnel, skb_headlen(skb) evaluates to 0. Passing 0 to get_random_u32_below() takes the variable-ceil slow path which returns an unconstrained 32-bit random integer. Using this unconstrained value as an offset into skb->data results in an out-of-bounds memory access. Fix this by verifying skb_headlen(skb) is non-zero before attempting to corrupt the linear data area. Fully non-linear packets will silently bypass the corruption logic.
CVE-2026-31674 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ip6t_rt: reject oversized addrnr in rt_mt6_check() Reject rt match rules whose addrnr exceeds IP6T_RT_HOPS. rt_mt6() expects addrnr to stay within the bounds of rtinfo->addrs[]. Validate addrnr during rule installation so malformed rules are rejected before the match logic can use an out-of-range value.

CVE-2026-31570 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: gw: fix OOB heap access in cgw_csum_crc8_rel() cgw_csum_crc8_rel() correctly computes bounds-safe indices via calc_idx(): int from = calc_idx(crc8->from_idx, cf->len); int to = calc_idx(crc8->to_idx, cf->len); int res = calc_idx(crc8->result_idx, cf->len); if (from < 0 || to < 0 || res < 0) return; However, the loop and the result write then use the raw s8 fields directly instead of the computed variables: for (i = crc8->from_idx; ...) /* BUG: raw negative index */ cf->data[crc8->result_idx] = ...; /* BUG: raw negative index */ With from_idx = to_idx = result_idx = -64 on a 64-byte CAN FD frame, calc_idx(-64, 64) = 0 so the guard passes, but the loop iterates with i = -64, reading cf->data[-64], and the write goes to cf->data[-64]. This write might end up to 56 (7.0-rc) or 40 (<= 6.19) bytes before the start of the canfd_frame on the heap. The companion function cgw_csum_xor_rel() uses `from`/`to`/`res` correctly throughout; fix cgw_csum_crc8_rel() to match. Confirmed with KASAN on linux-7.0-rc2: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in cgw_csum_crc8_rel+0x515/0x5b0 Read of size 1 at addr ffff8880076619c8 by task poc_cgw_oob/62 To configure the can-gw crc8 checksums CAP_NET_ADMIN is needed.
CVE-2026-31442 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: idxd: Fix possible invalid memory access after FLR In the case that the first Function Level Reset (FLR) concludes correctly, but in the second FLR the scratch area for the saved configuration cannot be allocated, it's possible for a invalid memory access to happen. Always set the deallocated scratch area to NULL after FLR completes.
CVE-2026-31435 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix read abandonment during retry Under certain circumstances, all the remaining subrequests from a read request will get abandoned during retry. The abandonment process expects the 'subreq' variable to be set to the place to start abandonment from, but it doesn't always have a useful value (it will be uninitialised on the first pass through the loop and it may point to a deleted subrequest on later passes). Fix the first jump to "abandon:" to set subreq to the start of the first subrequest expected to need retry (which, in this abandonment case, turned out unexpectedly to no longer have NEED_RETRY set). Also clear the subreq pointer after discarding superfluous retryable subrequests to cause an oops if we do try to access it.
CVE-2026-23112 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: add bounds checks in nvmet_tcp_build_pdu_iovec nvmet_tcp_build_pdu_iovec() could walk past cmd->req.sg when a PDU length or offset exceeds sg_cnt and then use bogus sg->length/offset values, leading to _copy_to_iter() GPF/KASAN. Guard sg_idx, remaining entries, and sg->length/offset before building the bvec.
CVE-2025-71112 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: add VLAN id validation before using Currently, the VLAN id may be used without validation when receive a VLAN configuration mailbox from VF. The length of vlan_del_fail_bmap is BITS_TO_LONGS(VLAN_N_VID). It may cause out-of-bounds memory access once the VLAN id is bigger than or equal to VLAN_N_VID. Therefore, VLAN id needs to be checked to ensure it is within the range of VLAN_N_VID.

CVE-2025-71087 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iavf: fix off-by-one issues in iavf_config_rss_reg() There are off-by-one bugs when configuring RSS hash key and lookup table, causing out-of-bounds reads to memory [1] and out-of-bounds writes to device registers. Before commit 43a3d9ba34c9 ("i40evf: Allow PF driver to configure RSS"), the loop upper bounds were: i <= I40E_VFQF_{HKEY,HLUT}_MAX_INDEX which is safe since the value is the last valid index. That commit changed the bounds to: i <= adapter->rss_{key,lut}_size / 4 where `rss_{key,lut}_size / 4` is the number of dwords, so the last valid index is `(rss_{key,lut}_size / 4) - 1`. Therefore, using `<=` accesses one element past the end. Fix the issues by using `<` instead of `<=`, ensuring we do not exceed the bounds. CVE-2025-68785 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: fix middle attribute validation in push_nsh() action The push_nsh() action structure looks like this: OVS_ACTION_ATTR_PUSH_NSH(OVS_KEY_ATTR_NSH(OVS_NSH_KEY_ATTR_BASE,...)) The outermost OVS_ACTION_ATTR_PUSH_NSH attribute is OK'ed by the nla_for_each_nested() inside __ovs_nla_copy_actions(). The innermost OVS_NSH_KEY_ATTR_BASE/MD1/MD2 are OK'ed by the nla_for_each_nested() inside nsh_key_put_from_nlattr(). But nothing checks if the attribute in the middle is OK. We don't even check that this attribute is the OVS_KEY_ATTR_NSH. We just do a double unwrap with a pair of nla_data() calls - first time directly while calling validate_push_nsh() and the second time as part of the nla_for_each_nested() macro, which isn't safe, potentially causing invalid memory access if the size of this attribute is incorrect. The failure may not be noticed during validation due to larger netlink buffer, but cause trouble later during action execution where the buffer is allocated exactly to the size: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in nsh_hdr_from_nlattr+0x1dd/0x6a0 [openvswitch] Read of size 184 at addr ffff88816459a634 by task a.out/22624 CPU: 8 UID: 0 PID: 22624 6.18.0-rc7+ #115 PREEMPT(voluntary) Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x51/0x70 print_address_description.constprop.0+0x2c/0x390 kasan_report+0xdd/0x110 kasan_check_range+0x35/0x1b0 __asan_memcpy+0x20/0x60 nsh_hdr_from_nlattr+0x1dd/0x6a0 [openvswitch] push_nsh+0x82/0x120 [openvswitch] do_execute_actions+0x1405/0x2840 [openvswitch] ovs_execute_actions+0xd5/0x3b0 [openvswitch] ovs_packet_cmd_execute+0x949/0xdb0 [openvswitch] genl_family_rcv_msg_doit+0x1d6/0x2b0 genl_family_rcv_msg+0x336/0x580 genl_rcv_msg+0x9f/0x130 netlink_rcv_skb+0x11f/0x370 genl_rcv+0x24/0x40 netlink_unicast+0x73e/0xaa0 netlink_sendmsg+0x744/0xbf0 __sys_sendto+0x3d6/0x450 do_syscall_64+0x79/0x2c0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e </TASK> Let's add some checks that the attribute is properly sized and it's the only one attribute inside the action.
