CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix command skb lifetime during scan setup
During PA sync scan setup, hci_le_set_ext_scan_param_sync() gets the
address used for the PA_LINK lookup from hci_sent_cmd_data(). The
returned pointer borrows storage from sent_cmd or req_skb, without
holding a reference to either skb.
The scan worker runs on req_workqueue while hci_cmd_work() runs on the
separate device workqueue. After the scan worker loads sent_cmd, the
command worker can free and replace it before hci_sent_cmd_data()
dereferences the skb. The command payload can also be freed between
returning from the helper and comparing the address. The connection
lookup's RCU critical section does not protect the command skb.
KASAN reported:

Use hdev->lock to serialize the address snapshot with sent_cmd
replacement. Protect req_skb replacement and completion cleanup with
the same lock because the helper falls back to that skb. Copy the
address before releasing the lock and use the copy for the existing
RCU-protected connection lookup. Release the mutex before sending or
waiting for commands, preserving the lookup and completion ordering. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
memstick: rtsx_usb_ms: complete requests after eject instead of dropping them
memstick_check() can pass its host->removing check just before
rtsx_usb_ms_drv_remove() sets eject/removing. Its next request is then
silently dropped: rtsx_usb_ms_request() skips schedule_work() once eject
is set, and drv_remove's cancel_work_sync() can also cancel a queued
handle_req before it picks the request up. Nobody completes
card->mrq_complete.
Once memstick core waits for requests without a timeout ("memstick: core:
wait for request completion before freeing card"), this hangs removal:
memstick_check() never returns and memstick_remove_host() blocks in
flush_workqueue():
INFO: task kworker/u10:3:65 blocked for more than 20 seconds.

rtsx_usb_ms_drv_remove
Never drop a request. rtsx_usb_ms_request() always schedules handle_req,
and handle_req fails requests with -ENOMEDIUM once eject is set, without
touching the device. drv_remove flushes handle_req instead of cancelling
it, and cancels it only after memstick_remove_host(), when no new
request can arrive, so it cannot run on a freed host.
The host_mutex drain in drv_remove is removed: handle_req always leaves
host->req NULL when it finishes, so the drain never had anything to do,
and it would now race with handle_req. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ice: fix use-after-free in dynamic port cleanup
ice_dealloc_dynamic_port() uses dyn_port->vsi->idx to erase the dynamic
port from pf->dyn_ports. However, it frees the VSI before reading the
index for the erase, resulting in a use-after-free.
Follow the reverse of the allocation order in ice_alloc_dynamic_port()
by erasing the xarray entry before freeing the VSI. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ibmveth: h_free logical LAN on open-fail after register
ibmveth_open() registers the logical LAN, then allocates the RX
buffer pools. A pool failure jumps to out_free_buffer_pools without
h_free_logical_lan(), so PHYP still owns the buffer-list page when
it is unmapped. request_irq() failure already issued the hypercall
before taking the same label.
Move that h_free to the shared post-register unwind so both paths
deregister before the buffer list is unmapped. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gve: fix XSK buffer leak when rings are stopped
GVE does not free XSK buffers when resetting ring state as a part of
stopping queues. This causes all XSK buffers which are posted to the
NIC to be leaked.
Free XSK buffers attached to an allocated buf_state when stopping rings.
This issue was hit in production. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: samsung: i2s: enable op_clk in probe to balance runtime PM
The probe function puts the device into the runtime PM active state with
only the "iis" bus clock enabled, but it also sets priv->op_clk to the
parent of the RCLK_SRC mux without enabling it. The runtime PM suspend
callback disables both clocks, so the first runtime suspend after probe
disables op_clk once more than it was enabled.
On Exynos5250 Arndale both clocks resolve to the same EXYNOS_I2S_BUS gate,
so this triggers the following warning during boot:
WARNING: drivers/clk/clk.c:1270 at clk_core_disable+0xe4/0x23c, CPU#0: kworker/u8:3/45

Fix this by enabling op_clk in probe right after getting it, so the clock
state matches the runtime PM active state, and by disabling it in remove. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/register: don't exempt disabled rings from task restrictions
A ring created with IORING_SETUP_R_DISABLED is exempt from its register
restrictions until it is enabled. This lets the creator register the
restrictions and then enable the ring with IORING_REGISTER_ENABLE_RINGS,
whether or not that opcode is in the allowed set.
Since commit ed82f35b926b ("io_uring: allow registration of per-task
restrictions"), a ring also inherits restrictions from the task that
creates it, and the same exemption applies to those. A task whose
register opcodes are restricted can therefore create a disabled ring,
issue any register opcode on it, and then enable it.
Mark rings whose restrictions were inherited from the task, and keep
checking register opcodes for them while the ring is disabled. Enabling
such a ring now requires IORING_REGISTER_ENABLE_RINGS to be in the
task's allowed set. Per-ring restrictions registered on a disabled ring
work as before.
