CVSS v3.1 |
| Adobe Experience Manager is affected by an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. A low-privileged attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. Scope is changed. |
| Out-of-bounds write in Windows Schannel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| The fanx_fingerprint function in ssl/sslxprint.c of ssldump allocates a heap buffer for formatting FAN/1 X.509 certificate fingerprints. The allocation size is computed as strlen(b64) + strlen(hex) + 31, but the format string "fan1:x509:server:passive:%s:sha256:%s" contains 33 fixed characters in addition to the two variable-length fields and a null terminator, requiring strlen(b64) + strlen(hex) + 34 bytes. This miscalculation results in a 3-byte heap-based buffer overflow on every invocation of the function with valid inputs. The overflow occurs because sprintf writes the full formatted string into the undersized heap buffer without bounds checking. An attacker who can supply a crafted pcap file containing a TLS X.509 certificate to a user running ssldump with FAN/1 fingerprinting enabled (for example with the -j -N options) can trigger the overflow. The resulting heap corruption may lead to denial of service through a crash or, in a worst-case scenario, arbitrary code execution in the context of the user running ssldump. The vulnerability is deterministic and requires no special privileges beyond the ability to provide input to the tool. |
| A flaw was found in Foreman. The foreman-tail utility is vulnerable to OS command injection due to the unsafe use of the eval command. The script takes user-supplied arguments and incorporates them directly into a string that is then executed by eval to expand file paths. Because the input is not sanitized or quoted, a local attacker can inject shell metacharacters (e.g., ;, &, |) to execute arbitrary system commands. |

| FreeRDP before 3.32.0 contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in persistent_cache_read_entry_v2 that allows local attackers to corrupt heap memory via integer wraparound in bitmap size calculation. Attackers can craft a persistent cache v2 file with oversized width and height values that causes mismatched entry size accounting and fixed 16 KiB reads, leading to crashes or code execution when loaded. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/boot: Avoid IPL parameter append past command line
A command line may occupy all but the terminating byte of
COMMAND_LINE_SIZE. In that case append_ipl_block_parm() passes a zero size
to the IPL parameter conversion helpers and points the destination one
byte past early_command_line. The helpers subtract one from the unsigned
size and write the converted parameter outside the command line buffer.
Convert the IPL parameter in the command line parsing buffer first. A
parameter beginning with '=' can then replace the existing command line
regardless of its length, while other parameters are appended only when
space remains. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/s390: Fix memory corruption when using identity domain
zpci_get_iommu_ctrs() returns counter information to be reported as part
of device statistics; these counters are stored as part of the s390_domain.
The problem, however, is that the identity domain is not backed by an
s390_domain and so the conversion via to_s390_domain() yields a bad address
that is zero'd initially and read on-demand later via a sysfs read.
These counters aren't necessary for the identity domain; just return NULL
in this case.
This issue was discovered via KASAN with reports that look like:
BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in zpci_fmb_enable_device
when using the identity domain for a device on s390. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock/virtio: Validate length in packet header before skb_put()
When receiving a vsock packet in the guest, only the virtqueue buffer
size is validated prior to virtio_vsock_skb_rx_put(). Unfortunately,
virtio_vsock_skb_rx_put() uses the length from the packet header as the
length argument to skb_put(), potentially resulting in SKB overflow if
the host has gone wonky.
Validate the length as advertised by the packet header before calling
virtio_vsock_skb_rx_put(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/net: commit partial buffers on retry
Ring provided buffers are potentially only valid within the single
execution context in which they were acquired. io_uring deals with this
and invalidates them on retry. But on the networking side, if
MSG_WAITALL is set, or if the socket is of the streaming type and too
little was processed, then it will hang on to the buffer rather than
recycle or commit it. This is problematic for two reasons:
1) If someone unregisters the provided buffer ring before a later retry,
then the req->buf_list will no longer be valid.
2) If multiple sockers are using the same buffer group, then multiple
receives can consume the same memory. This can cause data corruption
in the application, as either receive could land in the same
userspace buffer.
Fix this by disallowing partial retries from pinning a provided buffer
across multiple executions, if ring provided buffers are used. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSD: Avoid calling OPDESC() with ops->opnum == OP_ILLEGAL
OPDESC() simply indexes into nfsd4_ops[] by the op's operation
number, without range checking that value. It assumes callers are
careful to avoid calling it with an out-of-bounds opnum value.
nfsd4_decode_compound() is not so careful, and can invoke OPDESC()
with opnum set to OP_ILLEGAL, which is 10044 -- well beyond the end
of nfsd4_ops[]. |
| Dell Unisphere for PowerMax vApp, version(s) 9.2.4.x, contain(s) an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Remote execution. |
| DevIL through 1.8.0 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in iGetPalette() in il_gif.cpp that allows attackers to write beyond a 768-byte palette buffer when loading GIF images. Attackers can supply a crafted two-frame GIF whose second frame uses disposal method 1 with a local colour table, writing up to 384 controlled bytes past the heap allocation and possibly executing code. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in certain language-processing functionality. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause server instability or limited modification of data. |
