| CVE-2026-46241 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: mpc52xx: fix use-after-free on registration failure Make sure to disable and free the interrupts in case controller registration fails to avoid a potential use-after-free and resource leak. This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a controller deregistration fix. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45956 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exynos: vidi: use priv->vidi_dev for ctx lookup in vidi_connection_ioctl() vidi_connection_ioctl() retrieves the driver_data from drm_dev->dev to obtain a struct vidi_context pointer. However, drm_dev->dev is the exynos-drm master device, and the driver_data contained therein is not the vidi component device, but a completely different device. This can lead to various bugs, ranging from null pointer dereferences and garbage value accesses to, in unlucky cases, out-of-bounds errors, use-after-free errors, and more. To resolve this issue, we need to store/delete the vidi device pointer in exynos_drm_private->vidi_dev during bind/unbind, and then read this exynos_drm_private->vidi_dev within ioctl() to obtain the correct struct vidi_context pointer. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45861 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: Fix slab-use-after-free in qd_put Commit a475c5dd16e5 ("gfs2: Free quota data objects synchronously") started freeing quota data objects during filesystem shutdown instead of putting them back onto the LRU list, but it failed to remove these objects from the LRU list, causing LRU list corruption. This caused use-after-free when the shrinker (gfs2_qd_shrink_scan) tried to access already-freed objects on the LRU list. Fix this by removing qd objects from the LRU list before freeing them in qd_put(). Initial fix from Deepanshu Kartikey <kartikey406@gmail.com>. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80864 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix responder UAF on IB_QP_MAX_DEST_RD_ATOMIC modify_qp rxe_qp_from_attr() handles IB_QP_MAX_DEST_RD_ATOMIC outside the IB_QP_STATE path, so it holds no state_lock and runs while the responder task rxe_receiver() (recv_task on rxe_wq) is live. A modify_qp() setting only that attribute calls free_rd_atomic_resources() then alloc_rd_atomic_resources(), swapping qp->resp.resources[] while rxe_prepare_res()/find_resource() walk it; free_rd_atomic_resources() also leaves the cached pointer qp->resp.res dangling. A local unprivileged user can race the free/realloc into a use-after-free in rxe_receiver() (local DoS). Drain recv_task around the swap with rxe_disable_task()/rxe_enable_task(), as rxe_qp_reset() already does when tearing this array down, re-enabling only after alloc_rd_atomic_resources() succeeds so the responder never resumes against a NULL qp->resp.resources on the ENOMEM path. Also clear qp->resp.res in free_rd_atomic_resources(), like the rxe_resp.c completion paths. Reproduced under KASAN; the slab-use-after-free in rxe_receiver() is gone. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80654 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: xilinx: Shutdown and free rx mailbox channel A mbox rx channel is requested using mbox_request_channel_byname() in probe. In remove callback, the rx mailbox channel is cleaned up when the rx_chan is NULL due to incorrect condition check. The mailbox channel is not shutdown and it can receive messages even after the device removal. This leads to use after free. Also the channel resources are not freed. Fix this by checking the rx_chan correctly. | ||||
| CVE-2026-43153 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: remove xfs_attr_leaf_hasname The calling convention of xfs_attr_leaf_hasname() is problematic, because it returns a NULL buffer when xfs_attr3_leaf_read fails, a valid buffer when xfs_attr3_leaf_lookup_int returns -ENOATTR or -EEXIST, and a non-NULL buffer pointer for an already released buffer when xfs_attr3_leaf_lookup_int fails with other error values. Fix this by simply open coding xfs_attr_leaf_hasname in the callers, so that the buffer release code is done by each caller of xfs_attr3_leaf_read. | ||||
| CVE-2026-43059 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: Fix list corruption and UAF in command complete handlers Commit 302a1f674c00 ("Bluetooth: MGMT: Fix possible UAFs") introduced mgmt_pending_valid(), which not only validates the pending command but also unlinks it from the pending list if it is valid. This change in semantics requires updates to several completion handlers to avoid list corruption and memory safety issues. This patch addresses two left-over issues from the aforementioned rework: 1. In mgmt_add_adv_patterns_monitor_complete(), mgmt_pending_remove() is replaced with mgmt_pending_free() in the success path. Since mgmt_pending_valid() already unlinks the command at the beginning of the function, calling mgmt_pending_remove() leads to a double list_del() and subsequent list corruption/kernel panic. 2. In set_mesh_complete(), the use of mgmt_pending_foreach() in the error path is removed. Since the current command is already unlinked by mgmt_pending_valid(), this foreach loop would incorrectly target other pending mesh commands, potentially freeing them while they are still being processed concurrently (leading to UAFs). The redundant mgmt_cmd_status() is also simplified to use cmd->opcode directly. | ||||
| CVE-2026-43049 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: logitech-hidpp: Prevent use-after-free on force feedback initialisation failure Presently, if the force feedback initialisation fails when probing the Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel for Xbox One, an error number will be returned and propagated before the userspace infrastructure (sysfs and /dev/input) has been torn down. If userspace ignores the errors and continues to use its references to these dangling entities, a UAF will promptly follow. We have 2 options; continue to return the error, but ensure that all of the infrastructure is torn down accordingly or continue to treat this condition as a warning by emitting the message but returning success. It is thought that the original author's intention was to emit the warning but keep the device functional, less the force feedback feature, so let's go with that. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31663 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: hold dev ref until after transport_finish NF_HOOK After async crypto completes, xfrm_input_resume() calls dev_put() immediately on re-entry before the skb reaches transport_finish. The skb->dev pointer is then used inside NF_HOOK and its okfn, which can race with device teardown. Remove the dev_put from the async resumption entry and instead drop the reference after the NF_HOOK call in transport_finish, using a saved device pointer since NF_HOOK may consume the skb. This covers NF_DROP, NF_QUEUE and NF_STOLEN paths that skip the okfn. For non-transport exits (decaps, gro, drop) and secondary async return points, release the reference inline when async is set. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31650 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: vub300: fix use-after-free on disconnect The vub300 driver maintains an explicit reference count for the controller and its driver data and the last reference can in theory be dropped after the driver has been unbound. This specifically means that the controller allocation must not be device managed as that can lead to use-after-free. Note that the lifetime is currently also incorrectly tied the parent USB device rather than interface, which can lead to memory leaks if the driver is unbound without its device being physically disconnected (e.g. on probe deferral). Fix both issues by reverting to non-managed allocation of the controller. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31530 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/port: Fix use after free of parent_port in cxl_detach_ep() cxl_detach_ep() is called during bottom-up removal when all CXL memory devices beneath a switch port have been removed. For each port in the hierarchy it locks both the port and its parent, removes the endpoint, and if the port is now empty, marks it dead and unregisters the port by calling delete_switch_port(). There are two places during this work where the parent_port may be used after freeing: First, a concurrent detach may have already processed a port by the time a second worker finds it via bus_find_device(). Without pinning parent_port, it may already be freed when we discover port->dead and attempt to unlock the parent_port. In a production kernel that's a silent memory corruption, with lock debug, it looks like this: []DEBUG_LOCKS_WARN_ON(__owner_task(owner) != get_current()) []WARNING: kernel/locking/mutex.c:949 at __mutex_unlock_slowpath+0x1ee/0x310 []Call Trace: []mutex_unlock+0xd/0x20 []cxl_detach_ep+0x180/0x400 [cxl_core] []devm_action_release+0x10/0x20 []devres_release_all+0xa8/0xe0 []device_unbind_cleanup+0xd/0xa0 []really_probe+0x1a6/0x3e0 Second, delete_switch_port() releases three devm actions registered against parent_port. The last of those is unregister_port() and it calls device_unregister() on the child port, which can cascade. If parent_port is now also empty the device core may unregister and free it too. So by the time delete_switch_port() returns, parent_port may be free, and the subsequent device_unlock(&parent_port->dev) operates on freed memory. The kernel log looks same as above, with a different offset in cxl_detach_ep(). Both of these issues stem from the absence of a lifetime guarantee between a child port and its parent port. Establish a lifetime rule for ports: child ports hold a reference to their parent device until release. Take the reference when the port is allocated and drop it when released. This ensures the parent is valid for the full lifetime of the child and eliminates the use after free window in cxl_detach_ep(). This is easily reproduced with a reload of cxl_acpi in QEMU with CXL devices present. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31493 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Fix use of completion ctx after free On admin queue completion handling, if the admin command completed with error we print data from the completion context. The issue is that we already freed the completion context in polling/interrupts handler which means we print data from context in an unknown state (it might be already used again). Change the admin submission flow so alloc/dealloc of the context will be symmetric and dealloc will be called after any potential use of the context. | ||||
| CVE-2026-23226 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: add chann_lock to protect ksmbd_chann_list xarray ksmbd_chann_list xarray lacks synchronization, allowing use-after-free in multi-channel sessions (between lookup_chann_list() and ksmbd_chann_del). Adds rw_semaphore chann_lock to struct ksmbd_session and protects all xa_load/xa_store/xa_erase accesses. | ||||
| CVE-2026-23207 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 4.7 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: tegra210-quad: Protect curr_xfer check in IRQ handler Now that all other accesses to curr_xfer are done under the lock, protect the curr_xfer NULL check in tegra_qspi_isr_thread() with the spinlock. Without this protection, the following race can occur: CPU0 (ISR thread) CPU1 (timeout path) ---------------- ------------------- if (!tqspi->curr_xfer) // sees non-NULL spin_lock() tqspi->curr_xfer = NULL spin_unlock() handle_*_xfer() spin_lock() t = tqspi->curr_xfer // NULL! ... t->len ... // NULL dereference! With this patch, all curr_xfer accesses are now properly synchronized. Although all accesses to curr_xfer are done under the lock, in tegra_qspi_isr_thread() it checks for NULL, releases the lock and reacquires it later in handle_cpu_based_xfer()/handle_dma_based_xfer(). There is a potential for an update in between, which could cause a NULL pointer dereference. To handle this, add a NULL check inside the handlers after acquiring the lock. This ensures that if the timeout path has already cleared curr_xfer, the handler will safely return without dereferencing the NULL pointer. | ||||
| CVE-2026-100077 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm: Recover HW before retire hung submit During recovery, it is not safe to retire the hung submit before we recover the GPU. Retiring the submit triggers BO free and that can result in GPU pagefaults since the GPU may be actively accessing those BOs. To fix this, retire the submits after gpu recovery is complete in recover_worker(). Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/730655/ | ||||
| CVE-2025-71073 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: lkkbd - disable pending work before freeing device lkkbd_interrupt() schedules lk->tq via schedule_work(), and the work handler lkkbd_reinit() dereferences the lkkbd structure and its serio/input_dev fields. lkkbd_disconnect() and error paths in lkkbd_connect() free the lkkbd structure without preventing the reinit work from being queued again until serio_close() returns. This can allow the work handler to run after the structure has been freed, leading to a potential use-after-free. Use disable_work_sync() instead of cancel_work_sync() to ensure the reinit work cannot be re-queued, and call it both in lkkbd_disconnect() and in lkkbd_connect() error paths after serio_open(). | ||||
| CVE-2025-68822 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: alps - fix use-after-free bugs caused by dev3_register_work The dev3_register_work delayed work item is initialized within alps_reconnect() and scheduled upon receipt of the first bare PS/2 packet from an external PS/2 device connected to the ALPS touchpad. During device detachment, the original implementation calls flush_workqueue() in psmouse_disconnect() to ensure completion of dev3_register_work. However, the flush_workqueue() in psmouse_disconnect() only blocks and waits for work items that were already queued to the workqueue prior to its invocation. Any work items submitted after flush_workqueue() is called are not included in the set of tasks that the flush operation awaits. This means that after flush_workqueue() has finished executing, the dev3_register_work could still be scheduled. Although the psmouse state is set to PSMOUSE_CMD_MODE in psmouse_disconnect(), the scheduling of dev3_register_work remains unaffected. The race condition can occur as follows: CPU 0 (cleanup path) | CPU 1 (delayed work) psmouse_disconnect() | psmouse_set_state() | flush_workqueue() | alps_report_bare_ps2_packet() alps_disconnect() | psmouse_queue_work() kfree(priv); // FREE | alps_register_bare_ps2_mouse() | priv = container_of(work...); // USE | priv->dev3 // USE Add disable_delayed_work_sync() in alps_disconnect() to ensure that dev3_register_work is properly canceled and prevented from executing after the alps_data structure has been deallocated. This bug is identified by static analysis. | ||||
| CVE-2025-39859 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ptp: ocp: fix use-after-free bugs causing by ptp_ocp_watchdog The ptp_ocp_detach() only shuts down the watchdog timer if it is pending. However, if the timer handler is already running, the timer_delete_sync() is not called. This leads to race conditions where the devlink that contains the ptp_ocp is deallocated while the timer handler is still accessing it, resulting in use-after-free bugs. The following details one of the race scenarios. (thread 1) | (thread 2) ptp_ocp_remove() | ptp_ocp_detach() | ptp_ocp_watchdog() if (timer_pending(&bp->watchdog))| bp = timer_container_of() timer_delete_sync() | | devlink_free(devlink) //free | | bp-> //use Resolve this by unconditionally calling timer_delete_sync() to ensure the timer is reliably deactivated, preventing any access after free. | ||||
| CVE-2025-38722 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: habanalabs: fix UAF in export_dmabuf() As soon as we'd inserted a file reference into descriptor table, another thread could close it. That's fine for the case when all we are doing is returning that descriptor to userland (it's a race, but it's a userland race and there's nothing the kernel can do about it). However, if we follow fd_install() with any kind of access to objects that would be destroyed on close (be it the struct file itself or anything destroyed by its ->release()), we have a UAF. dma_buf_fd() is a combination of reserving a descriptor and fd_install(). habanalabs export_dmabuf() calls it and then proceeds to access the objects destroyed on close. In particular, it grabs an extra reference to another struct file that will be dropped as part of ->release() for ours; that "will be" is actually "might have already been". Fix that by reserving descriptor before anything else and do fd_install() only when everything had been set up. As a side benefit, we no longer have the failure exit with file already created, but reference to underlying file (as well as ->dmabuf_export_cnt, etc.) not grabbed yet; unlike dma_buf_fd(), fd_install() can't fail. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: Fix error code in iwl_op_mode_dvm_start() Preserve the error code if iwl_setup_deferred_work() fails. The current code returns ERR_PTR(0) (which is NULL) on this path. I believe the missing error code potentially leads to a use after free involving debugfs. | ||||
