| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by inconsistent enforcement of allowed location types during catalog processing. Under certain configurations, the catalog backend could process location types that were not intended to be allowed, potentially leading to unintended file access on the backend host. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.1. |

Prior to 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by improper url validation in catalog entity placeholder resolution. An authenticated Backstage user could craft a catalog entity with placeholder directives that reference resources outside the entity's source repository. Under certain configurations, this could allow access to data not intended to be available to the user. This issue is fixed in versions 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1. |
| The WSP MCP AI Agents Connector plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Disclosure in versions up to, and including, 2.9.5. This is due to the wsp_get_posts MCP tool being registered with an empty capability requirement while the MCP endpoint's authenticate() method accepts any logged-in user, and the wsp_execute_get_posts() callback honouring a caller-supplied status=all argument that expands into a WP_Query over 'publish', 'draft', 'pending' and 'future' posts with no author or ownership filter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to read the titles, URLs, authors, categories, tags and 40-word excerpts of every unpublished (draft/pending/scheduled) post on the site. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.21.9, the @backstage/plugin-kubernetes-backend package is affected by sensitive information disclosure in kubernetes resource queries. An authenticated user holding the standard Kubernetes resource read permission could retrieve sensitive values that the Kubernetes plugin is designed to mask, potentially exposing credentials and other confidential material held in the connected clusters. Exposure is limited to resources that the Backstage service account is permitted to read and that match the targeted catalog entity's namespace and label selector. Deployments whose cluster credentials do not grant read access to these resources are unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.9. |

Prior to 2.1.6 in @backstage/plugin-search-backend and 1.8.7 in @backstage/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch, search engine permission filtering could return documents denied by policy. An authenticated Backstage user subject to a DENY policy for search document types could receive unauthorized results in deployments with permission.enabled set to true and an Elasticsearch or OpenSearch backend. This issue is fixed in @backstage/plugin-search-backend 2.1.6 and @backstage/plugin-search-backend-module-elasticsearch 1.8.7. |

| In OpenStack Mistral through 23.0.0, the workflow membership API lets a project that has accepted a share of another project's private workflow create a further membership naming a third project. The new membership row is created with its project_id defaulted to the accepting project rather than the original workflow owner, and thus the owner can neither see nor delete it. The third project can accept this membership (that it had not actually been granted by the owner), and then read and execute the owner's private workflow; only the accepting (not the owning) project can later revoke that access. |
