CVE-2026-106567 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-10-22 5.9 Medium
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57, a crafted PSD file can trigger an integer-conversion error in the PSD decoder on 32-bit builds, causing an infinite loop and denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57.
CVE-2026-106568 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-10-22 5.3 Medium
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57, a crafted XMP profile embedded in an image can cause the profile parser to enter an infinite loop, preventing image processing from completing. This issue is fixed in versions 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57.
CVE-2026-6554 1 Tcpdump 1 Libpcap 2026-10-22 7.5 High
libpcap BPF interpreter treats the offset in the 'ja L' BPF instruction as a signed integer to implement looping via backward jumps, but it does not limit the number of loop iterations. A crafted filter program or the 'protochain' primitive used on a crafted network packet can cause the interpreter to loop infinitely.
CVE-2026-98123 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: fix soft lockup from unpadded ASCONF-ACK parameter iteration sctp_verify_asconf() walks ASCONF-ACK parameters with sctp_walk_params(), which advances by SCTP_PAD4(length), while the consumer sctp_get_asconf_response() iterates the same parameters advancing by the raw length, without padding. A single odd-length parameter desynchronises the two walks and makes the consumer interpret attacker-controlled bytes at a misaligned offset. When those bytes yield a length of zero, the while loop over asconf_ack_len makes no progress, spinning forever in softirq context, and the watchdog reports a soft lockup. All reads stay within the received skb, so the lockup is a pure remote denial of service. A remote peer can trigger it with a crafted ASCONF-ACK on an ADD-IP enabled association with an outstanding ASCONF (RFC 5061 section 4.1.2 requires the chunk to be authenticated, but the predefined empty key id 0 allows the peer to compute the same association HMAC from publicly exchanged parameters, so the gate does not help). The SCTP_PARAM_ERR_CAUSE case of sctp_verify_asconf() also performs no length check, letting a parameter without a complete error header reach the consumer, which reads errhdr.cause past the end of the parameter, an out-of-bounds read. Reject SCTP_PARAM_ERR_CAUSE parameters shorter than sizeof(struct sctp_addip_param) + sizeof(struct sctp_errhdr) at the verifier, and advance the consumer iterator with the same padding rule as the verifier to keep the two walks in lockstep. The verifier change guarantees a complete error header in every ERR_CAUSE parameter the consumer can see, so the consumer's asconf_ack_len check is dropped and it returns err_param->cause directly. The consumer padding fix is still required because odd lengths remain valid for SCTP_PARAM_ERR_CAUSE per RFC 5061. The issue was found by ZeroHive, a vulnerability hunting agent at Tencent Yunding Lab.
CVE-2026-66281 1 Silicon Labs 1 Emberznet 2026-10-22 N/A
In EmberZNet 9.1.1 and earlier, a malformed Discover Attributes command can result in a loop with unreachable exit condition (infinite loop). These messages must come from a device that has already joined the network. Only devices supporting manufacturer-specific clusters are impacted.
CVE-2026-111074 1 Eclipse 1 Eclipse Openj9 2026-10-22 N/A
In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service. When processing the initial 4-byte length field of an incoming TCP connection, an integer overflow in `MessageBuffer::computeRequiredCapacity()` causes the receiving compilation worker thread to enter an infinite loop consuming ~100% CPU. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by opening a small number of crafted TCP connections to exhaust the entire worker thread pool, silently halting compilation services for all connected client JVMs.

CVE-2026-76445 2026-10-22 5.3 Medium
Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the detection engine to unexpectedly restart, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a flaw in logic handling when General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Tunneling Protocol (GTP) extension headers are processed within the codec. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted, fragmented UDP datagram that contains these headers to the Snort 3 Detection Engine of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the detection engine to enter an infinite loop, resulting in a DoS condition.
CVE-2026-20019 1 Cisco 4 Cisco Open Source Snort3, Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (ftd) Software, Cisco Utd Snort Ips Engine Software and 1 more 2026-10-22 5.8 Medium
Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 NetFlow Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection. This vulnerability is due to incomplete error checking when Snort 3 parses UDP Netflow Protocol packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a single crafted Netflow packet through an established connection to be parsed by Snort 3. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condition.
CVE-2026-110354 1 Haproxy 4 Haproxy, Haproxy Enterprise, Kubernetes Ingress Controller and 1 more 2026-10-22 7.5 High
HAProxy 3 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (persistent worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via an HTTP/1.1 chunked request. Although the H1 multiplexer drains the request before closing the stream, the parser repeatedly re-processes the same bytes without making progress. The affected thread stays busy at 100% CPU after timeouts expire and after the client disconnects, and repeated requests can consume all worker threads until the process is restarted.
CVE-2026-110353 1 Haproxy 4 Haproxy, Haproxy Enterprise, Kubernetes Ingress Controller and 1 more 2026-10-22 7.5 High
HAProxy 3.2 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via a truncated HTTP/2 PING frame. h2c_handle_ping in src/mux_h2.c does not check for a short read, unlike the other H2 frame handlers. Because the incomplete frame cannot be processed, its data is never consumed, and the H2 multiplexer tasklet is repeatedly woken by that pending data without making progress. The CPU spins until timeout http-request closes the connection, and an attacker opening many such connections can sustain high CPU usage.
CVE-2026-96642 1 Python-pillow 1 Pillow 2026-10-22 6.5 Medium
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, the TarIO initializer in src/PIL/TarIO.py accepts a negative octal member size and computes a backward seek that returns to the same 512-byte header. When the requested member name does not match, the parser repeatedly reads that header, consumes a full CPU core, and never returns. TarIO is reached only when an application directly uses PIL.TarIO.TarIO rather than the default Image.open() path. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-96596 2 Erlang, Hexpm 4 Erlang\/otp, Rebar3, Hex and 1 more 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in Erlang OTP stdlib (erl_tar module), hexpm hex_core (hex_erl_tar module), hexpm hex (mix_hex_erl_tar module) and erlang rebar3 (r3_hex_erl_tar module) allows an attacker who supplies a tar archive to cause a denial of service via a crafted GNU sparse member. When erl_tar:extract/1,2 writes a member to disk, erl_tar:stream_to_file_loop/3 reads it in chunks of 65536 bytes by default. For a GNU sparse member whose sparse map ends before its real size, erl_tar:do_sparse_read/3 matches its trailing-hole clause before its zero-length clause. After the chunk is used up, the trailing-hole clause reads zero bytes, does not advance the position, and recurses forever. A 2048-byte archive keeps the extracting process and one scheduler busy until the process is killed. The {max_size, N} option prevents this only when N is below the real size of the member. Extraction with the memory option is not affected. hex_core ships its own copy of erl_tar as hex_erl_tar, and Hex and rebar3 ship hex_core with prefixed module names (mix_hex_erl_tar and r3_hex_erl_tar). These copies contain the same code and do not call stdlib's erl_tar, so they are affected on any OTP version. OTP 28 is not affected, but an application running on OTP 28 is affected if it extracts archives through an affected version of hex_core, Hex or rebar3. This issue affects OTP from OTPĀ 29.0 before OTPĀ 29.1.2, corresponding to rebar3 from 3.27.1 before 3.28.0, and stdlib from 8.0 before 8.1.1, and hex from 2.4.2 before 2.5.3; hex_core: from 0.14.0 before 0.20.1.
CVE-2026-113793 1 Py-pdf 1 Pypdf 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.20.1, removing an object from a crafted cyclic PDF tree, such as an outline item, can enter an infinite loop and block the current process. This issue is fixed in version 6.20.1.
CVE-2026-113792 1 Py-pdf 1 Pypdf 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.20.1, calling PdfWriter.find_outline_item on a crafted PDF with a cyclic outline hierarchy can enter an infinite loop and block the current process. This issue is fixed in version 6.20.1.
CVE-2026-113794 1 Py-pdf 1 Pypdf 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.20.0, an attacker can craft an incomplete PDF that ends inside a standard cross-reference table, causing pypdf to mishandle the unexpected end of file and enter an infinite loop. This issue is fixed in version 6.20.0.
CVE-2026-114095 2 Dulwich Project, Jelmer 2 Dulwich, Dulwich 2026-10-21 6.5 Medium
Dulwich before 1.2.9 contains a denial of service vulnerability in Pack.resolve_object that allows attackers to cause infinite recursion via self-referential OFS_DELTA objects. Attackers can supply a malicious packfile with an OFS_DELTA delta_offset of 0 to exhaust CPU during clone, fetch, or cat-file operations.
CVE-2026-92454 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx Guix 2026-10-21 6.1 Medium
The GUIX software JPEG decoder reads four kinds of marker segment without checking that each is long enough to hold what it reads. A truncated segment is therefore read past the end of the caller's image buffer. Separately, a zero chroma sampling factor makes the block decode loop non-terminating. Both reproduce in the default configuration, in which `GX_SOFTWARE_DECODER_SUPPORT` is enabled.
CVE-2024-47794 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Prevent tailcall infinite loop caused by freplace There is a potential infinite loop issue that can occur when using a combination of tail calls and freplace. In an upcoming selftest, the attach target for entry_freplace of tailcall_freplace.c is subprog_tc of tc_bpf2bpf.c, while the tail call in entry_freplace leads to entry_tc. This results in an infinite loop: entry_tc -> subprog_tc -> entry_freplace --tailcall-> entry_tc. The problem arises because the tail_call_cnt in entry_freplace resets to zero each time entry_freplace is executed, causing the tail call mechanism to never terminate, eventually leading to a kernel panic. To fix this issue, the solution is twofold: 1. Prevent updating a program extended by an freplace program to a prog_array map. 2. Prevent extending a program that is already part of a prog_array map with an freplace program. This ensures that: * If a program or its subprogram has been extended by an freplace program, it can no longer be updated to a prog_array map. * If a program has been added to a prog_array map, neither it nor its subprograms can be extended by an freplace program. Moreover, an extension program should not be tailcalled. As such, return -EINVAL if the program has a type of BPF_PROG_TYPE_EXT when adding it to a prog_array map. Additionally, fix a minor code style issue by replacing eight spaces with a tab for proper formatting.
