CVSS v3.1 |
The Depicter — Popup & Slider Builder WordPress plugin before 4.8.2 does not properly validate uploaded files in its editor media-upload endpoint, checking only the client-supplied MIME type and a case-sensitive block of the .php extension, which allows users with the Editor role and above to upload files with other active extensions into the public uploads directory, leading to stored script execution in the site origin and, depending on the server's handler mapping, to code execution.
Part-DB is an open source inventory management system for electronic components. Prior to version 2.12.3, Part-DB-server sanitizes SVG files based solely on the user-controlled filename extension rather than actual file content type. An authenticated attacker can upload a malicious SVG with JavaScript payload using a non-SVG extension (e.g., .jpg), bypassing sanitization entirely. When any user views the attachment inline, the browser receives Content-Type: image/svg+xml and executes the embedded script in the Part-DB origin. This issue has been patched in version 2.12.3.
Part-DB is an open source inventory management system for electronic components. Prior to version 2.12.1, the part attachment upload handler stores uploaded files under the web-served media directory using the client-supplied file extension, and its extension blocklist does not include phar. AttachmentSubmitHandler::renameBlacklistedExtensions() rewrites dangerous extensions (php, phtml, sh, cgi, py, js, html, htaccess, ...) to .txt, but phar is absent from the list, so a .phar file keeps its extension. Public attachments (the default) are written into public/media/, which is the Apache document root. The shipped Apache configuration routes .phar to PHP-FPM, so the stored file is executed as PHP on request. The per-attachment-type extension filter is empty by default and is not consulted by the upload handler in a way that blocks this, and a non-admin user in the default users group can create an attachment type with no filter and attach files to parts. Any authenticated user in the default users group uploads a .phar attachment to a part and fetches it under /media/, executing arbitrary PHP as the www-data web user. Ability to exploit depends on the webserver config, docker image contained the vulnerability by default. This issue has been patched in version 2.12.1.
A vulnerability was determined in file-management-system dc9ce1bf27f94b23d906cb1e86ce374dc94ca5df. Impacted is the function store of the file app/Http/Controllers/FileController.php. This manipulation of the argument File causes unrestricted upload. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. This product uses a rolling release model to deliver continuous updates. As a result, specific version information for affected or updated releases is not available. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 passes potentially unsafe content into ImageMagick when resizing images. SVG and EPS were accepted as valid image types for contact photo upload and conversion, and both formats can reference external resources and invoke ImageMagick delegates when processed. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix passing potentally unsafe attachment content into ImageMagick on image resize”, which removes svg and eps from the accepted types.
Joomla Extension - yootheme.com - Unauthenticated remote code execution in YOOtheme Pro 5.0.0-5.0.52 - YOOtheme Pro’s publicly accessible image transformation handler incompletely binds normalized image operations and the output destination to its request signature. An unauthenticated remote attacker can reuse a signature disclosed in a legitimate public image URL, inject additional image operations, traverse out of the intended cache directory, and write an attacker-controlled PNG/PHP polyglot to an executable public media directory.
| Interpretation conflict in the HTTP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to bypass access control rules enforced by a front proxy.
Root Cause:
The method dispatch function FindMethodPropertyByURI() in bRPC's HTTP protocol splits the request path with a string splitter that skips empty fields, so paths containing empty path segments (consecutive slashes), such as //flags, /flags// and /flags//port, are dispatched to the same method as their collapsed form /flags. Per RFC 3986 these are distinct paths. A front proxy that enforces an ACL (e.g. blocking access to builtin services such as /flags) matches the collapsed form only, and therefore forwards the padded literal to the bRPC server, where it is dispatched as if it were the collapsed form. This differential allows //flags?setvalue= to reach a builtin service that /flags is not allowed to reach. Additionally, the HTTP/2 implementation never validated the :path pseudo-header, so requests without a :path, or with a :path that neither begins with '/' nor is the asterisk-form '*', contrary to RFC 9113 section 8.3.1, were not rejected.
Affected Scenarios:
Deployments of Apache bRPC behind a front proxy or gateway that performs access control (ACL) decisions on the literal request path, where the bRPC server accepts HTTP or HTTP/2 traffic from that proxy. In such deployments an attacker can send a path containing empty path segments to reach a resource that the front proxy intended to block.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3512
Note:
After applying the fix, HTTP and HTTP/2 request paths containing empty path segments (consecutive slashes) are rejected by default, and HTTP/2 :path values that are empty or neither begin with '/' nor equal '*' are rejected. Deployments that depend on the previous lenient behavior can restore it by turning on the gflag -http_allow_empty_path_segments, which is not recommended for servers exposed to untrusted traffic. |
Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in WP Mailster WP Mailster wp-mailster allows Upload a Web Shell to a Web Server. This issue affects WP Mailster: from n/a through 1.9.1.0.
Nuxt is an open-source web development framework for Vue.js. From 3.11.0 until 3.21.4 and 4.4.4, Nuxt compares route-rule keys with the raw request path while route resolution decodes dynamic and catch-all parameters, allowing a percent-encoded segment to resolve to a protected page without matching the routeRules entry intended for that path. As a result, appMiddleware can be skipped during server rendering and an unauthenticated requester can receive the gated page and its SSR data. The same mismatch affects app-manifest rules including redirect, appLayout, ssr, prerender, and payload flags derived from cache, isr, and swr. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.4.4 and 3.21.4.
adm-zip before 0.6.1 contains an inconsistent entry resolution vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass content validation by supplying ZIP archives with duplicate entry names. Attackers can craft archives where getEntry() returns the last duplicate while extractAllTo() writes the first, causing unvalidated bytes to be written to disk.
Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in Kitae Park Mang Board WP mangboard allows Upload a Web Shell to a Web Server. This issue affects Mang Board WP: from n/a through 2.4.4.
Traefik before 2.11.58 and 3.7.13 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated clients to skip client-certificate checks because negated Host matchers are counted as served domains. Attackers can reach backends protected by RequireAndVerifyClientCert when a router rule with !Host() creates a TLS options conflict that falls back to the default options.
Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in PT Norther Lights Production MapSVG mapsvg-lite-interactive-vector-maps allows Upload a Web Shell to a Web Server. This issue affects MapSVG: from n/a through 8.16.1.
A flaw has been found in oretnom23 file-management-system-php up to 2e3c1ebe60f121e8df4fb3f544f0e9591d9a01e4. This affects the function save_files of the file admin_class.php. Executing a manipulation of the argument Upload can lead to unrestricted upload. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. This product takes the approach of rolling releases to provide continious delivery. Therefore, version details for affected and updated releases are not available. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
IBM Cyber Fraud 1.0.0 through 1.0.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to unrestricted upload of a file with a dangerous type.
Trudesk through 1.2.11 contains an unrestricted file upload vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to place HTML or SVG files in the public webroot via the uploadlogo, uploadpagelogo and uploadfavicon endpoints. Attackers can spoof an image MIME type to upload script-bearing files served unauthenticated from /assets/, enabling stored cross-site scripting and replacement of instance branding.
Vyper 0.1.0b1 before 0.1.0b17 and 0.4.1 through 0.5.0b1 builds its source-line table with str.splitlines(), which treats characters like form feed and U+2028 as line breaks the Python parser ignores, so numeric literals are classified and validated from shifted source text. An attacker contributing source code can hide these characters in comments, strings or indentation to silently change address, integer or decimal constants.
@fastify/middie is the Express-style middleware engine for Fastify. In versions from 9.0.0 through 9.3.5, the use() function joined a path-scoped middleware's mount path to the plugin scope prefix in a way that could diverge from the path Fastify's router serves, most often when the scope prefix ended in a slash, and also for array mount paths and for mount paths written without a leading slash. When the two paths disagreed, the middleware was silently skipped while the route handler still ran, so path-scoped middleware such as authentication, authorization, or rate limiting could be bypassed by a single unauthenticated request. The issue is fixed in @fastify/middie 9.3.6, and users should upgrade to 9.3.6 or later. As a workaround, enforce authorization in a Fastify hook such as preHandler that runs after the router has resolved the request.
Joomla Extension - acymailing.com - Remote Code Execution vulnerability in mailbox action feature in AcyMailing Enterprise extension < 11.1.0 - MIME parts of incoming emails were saved to media/com_acym/upload/ with no extension check, so anyone who could email the monitored mailbox could write a PHP file into the web root.
A user can upload export reports with any file contents and specify any contents. JSP code can be uploaded, JSPX can be specified as the file extension, and anyone can browse to the uploaded file, leading to command execution. The authentication bypass vulnerability can be chained with this vulnerability to run code on the server without authentication.
